ANNOUNCEMENT - First Meeting of GRDGC!

The first meeting of the Greer Recreational Disc Golf Club will be held on January 2nd and the following meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month. The time will be 6:00 p.m. and the location will be at the picnic shelter at what is now Hole #12 at the Greer course. This will be subsequent to change, but I will post any changes on here as early as possible. Hope to see you there.

1: Start out going WEST on BRUSHY CREEK RD toward JAMES DR. 0.3 miles
2: Turn SHARP LEFT onto S BUNCOMBE RD. 1.0 miles
3: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT. 0.1 miles
4: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SC-14. 0.2 miles
5: End at 1526 S Highway 14

The first few meetings will address the formal establishment of the club and the purposes of the club. The meetings will be democratic and all views will be heard. Hope to see you there.

Many announcements this month.

The Greer Disc Golf Course has officially been adopted by the Greer Club. A strong relationship with Greer Parks and Recreation has been in the works for a long time, and has developed into a great partnership. We will continue to work with Parks and Rec to assist them in maintaining and improving the course.

As many of you know, I am relocating to Raleigh for employment reasons. Because of this, I will be turning over leadership of the Greer club to CornBrad, who has openly expressed a strong desire to see the Greer course develop into an enriching disc golf experience. CB also assisted with the first course revision map which has been turned into Parks and Rec.

I will continue to work with Parks and Rec, and CB, in a limited capacity (due to location) until the transition from myself to CB is finalized.
