End of Doubles Season! Ace Pool at $155.00!
That's right, everyone! August 22nd marks the end of our Doubles Season! The ace pool currently stands at $155.00, with no aces for the ENTIRE SEASON!
That being said, I challenge ALL disc golfers near and far, to come out and slam some chains for our final doubles.
If no one hits an ace at our final doubles, then on Sunday, August 23rd, at 6:00pm, we will have a special hole set up by shelter #6 (between holes 17 and 18) which will be affectionately referred to as, the "challenge" hole!
All players are welcome to try their luck at the "challenge" hole for $1.00 a throw. In the event that you ace the "challenge" hole, you will take home the ace pool for the season.
In the event that nobody hits the "challenge" hole, the ace pool will roll over to next years pot.

Why is the throw off not after doubles on Saturday? It doesn't seem to make sense to make people drive out both days and take up both nights.
Doubles usually finishes up between 8:00 and 8:30, and has been the case since we started. Unfortunately, it is starting to get dark around 8:00 - 8:15, leaving us little time to offer up a second chance at the ace pool.
By starting at 6:00pm the following day, we will have plenty of daylight, and time to allow people a chance at the pool.

So what happened? Anyone hit an ace Sat? Sun? I couldn't make it on Sat but was going to try to Sun. I kept checking this site Sat night and Sun morning to see if it was still going on (i.e. no one hit an ace during doubles) but never saw anything indicating one way or the other...
Nobody hit an ace on Saturday. I was under the impression that most players were checking the doubles results, so I did not make an additional post. I was out there Sunday with the temp hole setup. Kennen and I both made a few runs at it, but the pool will just have to roll over until next year.
when is doubles opening back up?... i'm ready to play...
